|Christy King – Consultant
Christy King became a consultant with the Office of Developmental Programs Consulting System in October 2003 and is based in the Harrisburg area. Christy gained experience in the field of intellectual disabilities by working for a provider agency as a direct support professional and for the Office of Developmental Programs. Christy is certified as an Essential Lifestyle Planning Trainer. She supports several statewide projects, including evidence and evaluation, training and technical assistance to Administrative Entities and Supports Coordinators and is a resource for data collection and analysis. Christy earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Kutztown University majoring in Biology and Psychology, an Associate of Science degree from Harrisburg Area Community College, majoring in Respiratory Therapy, a Master of Education in Health Education from the Pennsylvania State University, and a Graduate Certificate in Training and Organizational Development from Temple University.
|Melissa Mecke – Project Manager
Melissa Allar Mecke served as a Consultant with the Office of Developmental Programs Consulting System since January 2007, and began as a Project Manager in December 2011. Melissa is located in the Harrisburg office and supports several statewide projects, including Transition from School to Adult Life, evidence and evaluation and statewide training and technical assistance for Administrative Entities and Supports Coordinators. Previously, Melissa worked for the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) for five years in multiple roles, including Statewide Training Coordinator, Communications Manager, and Program Specialist. At ODP, Melissa worked on projects including PUNS, SIS, HCSIS Communications and Field Support, Employment Initiatives, and School to Adult Life Transition. Melissa earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Dickinson College in 2002 and a Master of Education in Training and Development from the Pennsylvania State University in 2009.
|Leah Napoli – Consultant
Leah Napoli’s involvement in the field of Developmental Disabilities spans many years, both professionally, as a Supports Coordinator with Dauphin County Case Management Unit, and personally, as a sister of a brother with developmental disabilities. Leah became a Consultant with the Office of Developmental Programs Consulting System (OCS) in September 2003. As a Consultant, she supports the Office of Developmental Programs by providing training and technical assistance to individuals, families, Administrative Entities, Supports Coordination Organizations, and Providers across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. In addition, Leah’s project involvement includes organization and lead oversight of all Supports Coordination Face to Face Statewide Trainings. She supports the management of the OCS website, Administrative Entity Information Center (AEIC), Supports Coordination Information Center (SCOIC), and Supports Coordination Curriculum (SCC) website. She earned an Associate of Arts and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and a Master of Education in Training and Development from Pennsylvania State University. Leah is also a certified trainer in Person-Centered Thinking Skills/Essential Lifestyle Planning, and is located in the Harrisburg area.
|Angela Plantz – Support Professional
Angela Plantz has worked in the field of social services for more than 20 years. Angela joined the Office of Developmental Programs Consulting System (OCS) in 2011, and as an OCS Consultant, she provides training and technical support to ODP. She is involved in several key projects including the Works for Me statewide campaign to raise awareness for the issue of employment supports for those who have a disability and want to work. She provides training and presentations related to this project, and assists with the statewide Work Incentives training initiative through the Medicaid Infrastructure Grant (MIG). Prior to joining OCS, Angela worked in the fields of juvenile delinquency, family therapy, training and development, and crisis center management. While working with youth, Angela received her certification as a Victim Offender Mediator. She also became certified as a Functional Family Therapist (FFT) through the University of Nevada at Las Vegas (UNLV). Angela earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice & Psychology from Shippensburg University, and a Master of Education degree in School Counseling, also from Shippensburg University. Angela works out of the Harrisburg PaTTAN office.
|Audrey Shuey – Support Professional
Audrey Shuey began working for OCS as an administrative assistant for Early Intervention Technical Assistance and Office of Developmental Programs Consulting System in 2005 based at the Harrisburg office. She became part of the OCS Help Desk Team. Her current position is Help Desk Analyst for Early Intervention Technical Assistance and Office of Developmental Programs Consulting System supporting the OCS Help Desk. This involves providing support for ODP training registrations through the ODP Registration Portal and entering training data into the OCS TA training database. She provides support with posting ODP communications to ODP Information Centers. She also provides support to Parent to Parent of PA. Prior to coming to EITA/OCS she was an Instructional Assistant for fifteen years with the Northern Lebanon School District assisting the classroom teachers and working one-on-one and with small groups of children in kindergarten through grade six working with children that needed individual instruction or extra help in the classroom. Audrey lives in Lebanon County and has three sons and five grandchildren including a set of twin granddaughters.
