Lisa Meyer, Director

Lisa Meyer has worked in human services for more than 30 years.  Prior to her work with OCS, Lisa was a County Administrator for nine years.  She got her grassroots start in the system by providing direct in-home support to people with disabilities and people in need of emotional health support. Later in her career, managing these programs gave her many opportunities to work with economically and culturally diverse groups of people.  She also worked as an independent consultant providing training and technical assistance for MR providers and counties in Pennsylvania for several years.  Before relocating to the Pittsburgh area, she worked for the Department of Public Welfare in Ohio and managed County Assistance programs, including EPSDT, Medicaid, Fraud Investigations, Child Support Enforcement and Income Maintenance programs.  Her educational and professional accomplishments include a Bachelor of Science in Business and a Master of Education in Curriculum Supervision and Instruction.

Lisa has been trained in MAPS, PATHS and Biographical Timelines. She is certified in the ASTD Designing Learning Program and is a certified National Essential Lifestyle Planning Trainer. She has been a consultant to states involved in the CMS Person-Centered Organization Project and has worked as a consultant promoting the use of Person-Centered Thinking Tools in several states.
